Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Nursery
As advanced Tilapia culture techniques are new for the Indian aquaculturist, it needs to be standardized as per Indian conditions.
Conducting a series of trials on various farming aspects, our Research Centre is spread over 35 acres of land. Small fries of Tilapia are nursed here for a few days, after which the fingerlings are shifted to the cages.

The Cages
Having been introduced in India about a decade back, cage farming technology is a boon for mass fish production.
Taking initiative in the field, West Coast started its Pilot cage culture project in Varasgaon Reservoir at Pune in 2015 followed by the next one in Panshet reservoir at Pune in 2016. Within this short period, we are now India’s largest Tilapia producer with 230 cages!
