WestCoast has complete vertical integration of Shrimp farming from hatchery to final processing and packaging.
Hatchery
The hatchery business is the starting venture of the group. It supplies seeds to its own farms as well as sells to the other farmers in domestic market. The Hatchery is BAP Certified.
Farms
The WestCoast shrimp farming division engages in aquaculture farming activities for shrimp production The Company has a team of experienced technical & operational staff to guide unskilled labor force to manage day-to-day farming The Ponds are spread across 550 acres on the coastal regions of Gujarat, Maharashtra & Karnataka with a mix of Own Farms as well as Associate farms.
Processing
The Shrimp processing unit commenced operations in 2007, by setting up the company’s first Processing Plant in Surat, Gujarat.
The second processing unit was set up in 2013 in Surat as well.
It is the only plant in India that has multiple freezing lines, including the Brine freezing technology.
